  94.         <h2>Unattended Installation</h2>
  95.         <p>Paint.NET supports
  96.         <a target="_top" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unattended_installation">
  97.         unattended installation</a> which enables you to install Paint.NET with 
  98.         no user interaction. There are two facilities provided for unattended 
  99.         installation. The first, MSI-Based Deployment, is designed for use with
  100.         <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_Directory">Active Directory</a> 
  101.         and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_policy">Group Policy</a> 
  102.         in order to install Paint.NET on many users' systems on an administrated 
  103.         network. The second, Automatic Installation, is useful for general 
  104.         scripting or automation purposes for personal use. This may be useful 
  105.         when using software such as <a target="_top" href="http://www.autopatcher.com/">
  106.         AutoPatcher</a> 
  107.         which you may read about at its
  108.         <a target="_top" href="http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showforum=89">
  109.         official forum</a>.</p>
  110.         <p>Previous versions of Paint.NET were distributed as MSI files which 
  111.         could be configured using standard
  112.         <a target="_top" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Installer">
  113.         Windows Installer</a> options. Newer versions, however, are distributed 
  114.         as EXE files due to more intricate requirements related to 
  115.         configuration, localization, and updating. You may still do an 
  116.         installation via an MSI if you use the /createMsi parameter when 
  117.         launching the installer executable.<br>
  118.         </p>
  119.         <h3>MSI-Based Deployment</h3>
  120.         <p>Using the /createMsi command-line parameter detailed below, you may 
  121.         create MSI packages useful for AD/GPO deployment.</p>
  122.         <p>Two MSI packages will be created when you use this command, one for 
  123.         each CPU architecture (x86 and
  124.         <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X64">x64</a>). The x86 MSI is for 
  125.         32-bit Intel/AMD systems and is what most systems will use. The x64 MSI 
  126.         is for Intel/AMD systems that have both a 64-bit CPU and a 64-bit "x64" 
  127.         edition of Windows.</p>
  128.         <p>Please note that the x86 MSI (PaintDotNet.x86.msi) will not function 
  129.         on 64-bit systems, and so you should plan your deployment accordingly.</p>
  130.         <p>Also, the MSI properties listed in the 2nd table below may be 
  131.         configured on the command-line when using /createMsi. These MSI 
  132.         properties will be automatically patched into the MSI's that are 
  133.         generated so no further transforms should be necessary.</p>
  134.         <h4>Automatic Installation</h4>
  135.         <p>To do an automatic installation, use the /auto or /skipConfig 
  136.         command-line parameter detailed below.</p>
  137.         <h3>Command-Line Syntax</h3>

  139.         PaintDotNet_3_0.exe is the setup package downloaded from our
